found on all Ty products.
In December 1998 Warner took a full-page advertisement in the Wall Street Journal to
proclaim his company the biggest toy manufacturer in America. This was greeted with
some scepticism in the industry. Stung and surprised, he duly ordered his accountants
to release just enough information to show that it was true. Ty's Beanie Baby Empire
was bigger than the conventional toy giants Hasbro and Mattel combined.
