Maturity



               The market becomes saturated. Hence, the firm may place

               emphasis on:



                         o  Product Modification

                         o  Re-branding Strategies

                         o  Distribute in selective profitable areas

                         o  Exit out of markets where the product does not

                             achieve the desired sales/numbers



               Decline





               The Company may withdraw the product from the market. If
               in-case of a multi-brand company, the company may focus

               on profitable brands (cannibalize its weaker brands)




               The firm may adopt a permanent sales promotion strategy

               such as buy one-get one free, discounted price, more

               grammage in case of large unsold inventory.
