Once the timeline is completed,

the SWOT analysis can be built.

Each identified element in the

timeline may be assessed in
terms of a SWOT e.g. a

functional analysis of the

organisation showing where the
organisation is strong or weak

should be undertaken. Likewise an assessment of the

external environment with its opportunities and threats

should be carried out.
