What is the critical issue or problem to be solved?
This is probably the most crucial part of case study analysis
and often the hardest thing to come to terms with.
However, it may be aided by determining the key elements
that impact within the case study and their criticality e.g.
their relationship over time
Short Medium Long Term
Term Term
Critical Imperative Desirable
Time
Try to identify:
the key issues in the case;
who is the decision maker in the case and;
if there is a critical decision to be addressed.
How an organisation achieves its objectives is at the heart of
case analysis.
How it builds and implements its strategy is the last building
block in case analysis.
