After receiving a copy of this e-mail Jim called Litan

berating him furiously over Litan submitting the

application with Jim named as a joint applicant. He said
he did not object to helping in the application

preparation but Litan had abused his trust and clearly

this was a premeditated action.

On the 1 of February 2012 Litan was informed that his
application had been successful and he would proceed to

the final at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead on 12 March.

Once again Litan called Jim to apologise and ask if Jim

would talk over the next steps and to build upon the

original application outlines for the four-minute pitch

presentation on the 12 March (See: Export Prize Agenda).

Litan then followed this up with an e-mail.
