The objective of business case study use is to achieve deep

learning, (the upper half of diagram 5), on the part of the
student by addressing, to some extent, the higher order

level constituents of Bloom’s taxonomy (1956). This entails

achieving analysis through the student breaking down the

case study materials into their constituent parts, examining
(and trying to understand the organizational structure of)

such information to develop divergent conclusions by

identifying motives or causes, making inferences, and/or

finding evidence to support generalizations.
