Durand Ecumenical Council is sponsoring a

Giving Tree and a Hat and Mittens/Gloves tree.

Because of Covid restrictions things will happen a bit differently this year.

The Durand State Bank currently has closed their lobby but will still be the location for the Giving Tree.
Instructions for obtaining a tag listing wishes for gifts will be as follows: Tags will not be available at
the bank until December 1. Please contact the Durand State Bank’s Cameron Drive location at

          815-248-2101.

They are still looking forward to hosting the Giving Tree this year, but adding precautions:

Folks can call ahead to come and get a tag. Give the bank employee your name and phone number so
they can keep track of who has which tag.

Call ahead, let an employee know what age and gender you would like and bank employees will pick out
a tag for you. Be prepared to give more than one choice of age/gender in case your first choice is not
available. You can then pick the tag up at the drive thru within one day of your request. Tags that are not
picked up within a day will be returned to the tree for someone else to select.

Come to the drive thru and request a tag and the bank employees will pick one out for you. Use this
option only if you do not have an age/gender preference.

Drop gifts off by December 14th:

          • Call ahead and bank employees will let the you in with your gifts

          • Giver can drop gifts off at the front door during bank hours

Wrapped and labeled presents need to be back to the bank by Monday, December 14th for delivery on
          December 18th.

The mittens/gloves and hat tree will go up on December 1st at Bryden Ford. Bring in mittens, gloves and
hats for people aged 2-17. They should not be wrapped as
they will be sorted by DEC members. Donations need to
be to Bryden Ford by Tuesday, December 15th. We ran
short of hats, mitten and gloves last year, so your gener-
          osity would be appreciated.

Many of the children who will receive hats and mittens
          are ages 12 and up.
