House Medicare Dental Expansion Proposal

• Adds dental and oral health services to Medicare Part B

• Benefit starts in 2028

• Provider payment amounts to be determined by CMS by

considering fee schedules for: TRICARE, Federal Employees

Health Benefits (FEHB) Program, State Medicaid Programs,

Medicare Advantage Plans, VA, and other health care payers

• 80% covered for preventative and basic services

• 10% covered for major services in 2028, increasing by 10%

each year until 2032, and then capped at 50% coverage

• 2 exams and 2 cleanings allowing during 12-month period

• One full or partial set of dentures covered per 5-year period
