event or trauma and to put things in perspective.
Being able to separate facts from feelings was
instrumental in helping them heal and move
forward, thus I named the process Wheel of
Healing.
I added the psychosomatic aspect to Dr. Huffer’s
debriefing process to this Wheel of Healing. Each
trauma or emotional reaction we experience is
somatized, which means it affects a part of the
physical body. Although still a bit of a mystery, this
psychosomatic link is of utmost importance in
healing, and more of it is getting to be understood.
Pain and discomfort can often be alleviated once
the trauma or shock has been exposed, debriefed,
and healed.
This Wheel of Healing can be used as a healing tool
for trauma, yet it can also be applied to tackle
projects, dreams, and goals. It then becomes a
Wheel of Success.
If you are suffering from PTS(D), I strongly
recommend that you work with a supportive friend
or professional person, trained in trauma recovery,
who is also familiar with the Tapping Techniques.
