Why trees?

For a couple of reasons. One, I had just finished
reading the amazing book The Hidden Life of Trees
by Peter Wohlen. Loved it so much. So fascinating.
It explains how trees communicate, nurture and
support each other through their roots systems. The
second was I loved stitching trees. Very important
if you want to make 5000 of them. The third was
I love nature. Flora and fauna often feature in my
work. I also wanted to give back to the environment

in some way so I have partnered up with Landcare
Tasmania and I donate $2 for every tree I create
and sell. It’s a great community based organisation
 helping protect our natural environment.
