earthy and soft. I am definitely not a barbie
girl in a neon sparkle world. This is partly
due to my love for aged and faded objects,
but also because of my passion for plants
and the dye colours that can be derived
from them. I have a love for nature in
general and like many artists I find it an
endless source of inspiration.
In addition, I do like a sketch book. Give
me some paper, something to draw with
and then I am quite happy. Personally, I see
sketch books as a creative activity rather
than a planning tool and whilst inspiration
and exploration might influence finished
works for me, they are works in themselves.
I often make my own books as part of that
process. I have a love of lines and mark
making. I am a lover of linear stitches – so
the two go hand in hand very well.
