     Wearable Art

                                                      Recycled, repurposed, refashioned,
                                                      remarkable – the works of multi media

                                                      textile artist, Robyn Woodrow.  Robyn is
                                                      a true ‘mixed media’ artist, with a focus
                                                      on the use of recycled and found
                                                      objects in intricate works of wearable
                                                      and fine art.  With an impressive
                                                      exhibition record, her works have been
                                                      displayed both nationally and
                                                      internationally, but it is still the pure joy
                                                      of creating, and being inspired by the

                                                      ‘shining light’ of new ideas, that keeps
                                                      her going.


                                                      I’ve always been designing -
                                                      The Childcraft Encyclopedia ‘Make and
                                                      Do’ volume was my constant childhood
                                                      companion.  My life has bounced
                                                      between the creative and the not so.
                                                      I’ve been a school art teacher, spent a
                                                      decade as an Army officer, and owned
                                                      my own corporate management

                                                      company.  Along the way, I had a
                                                      couple of kids and got a couple of
                                                      master’s degrees.


                                                      In my late 30s I conceded that visual
                                                      creativity was where my contented soul
                                                      lay. I moved to Queensland’s Sunshine
                                                      Coast hinterland and established a
