Urban Pathways’ mission is to create sustainable housing solutions for adults in

         New York City experiencing homelessness and housing vulnerability. We believe

         that  we  can  best  achieve  this  when  the  voices  of  different  backgrounds  and

         experiences, particularly those with shared experiences of the people we serve, are
         represented in our policies, practices, and decisions.



         For this to be possible, it is critical that we:
         ❖ Seek more diverse representation in all decision-making bodies and foster an environment of

             inclusion and belonging by embracing different voices, perspectives, and opinions.


         ❖ Regularly review our policies, practices, and procedures to ensure they continue to address the
             evolving needs of the people we serve and staff, as well as work towards promoting DEIA
             principles and the needs of the organization.


         ❖ Continually seek out the voices and opinions of the people we serve and our staff to ensure

             they are incorporated in changes/decisions that may impact them.


         ❖ Hold ourselves accountable by regularly tracking and reporting on progress on DEIA.

        We  are  fierce  in  our  commitment  to  operate  in  ways  that  employ  diversity

        awareness, equity-mindedness, intentional inclusion and anti-racist practices as the
        principles that guide our work, our decisions and our relationships.
