The call

Scott was 22 years old when he started to work in his first job, it was in a famous
restaurant from Brooklyn New York called Mecca, and his job was to take deliveries to
customers houses. It is to this day that he continues to work in the restaurant delivering
food to thousands of people per year. And one of those thousands is Kira, a girl he met
one night when he was working. And since that day everything has changed.
One night when Kira was leaving university, she decided to order food from
Mecca. The perfect plan for her was to have dinner and finish the pending homework
of the day. The delivery didn’t take long to arrive because Scott was fast enough to
prevent his take-aways from getting cold, something that customers hated. And that
was he night they met, and after that day, Kira ordered food every Tuesday because that
was the day that less people ordered food, so Scott had more time to stay talking with
her during work hours.
A few months later, it became a more formal relationship, and they were
officially dating, And after a year and a half, they bought their first house together.
The house was located in a suburb of New York near Brooklyn, the house wasn't
very big but it was cosy.
Scott and Kira managed to finish university and got new jobs, Scott in an office
and Kira in a hair salon.
When the economy, the jobs, and the time got better, they decided to have a
baby, it was a big step in their lives and the most important decision, but it was
something they wanted passionately.
She was named Zoe, she was beautiful, she had brown eyes and her hair was
light brown with beautiful curls.
The first months of Zoe's life for them were like an earthquake, new experiences
and new things that they had never experienced.
Zoe was already two and a half years old. She had started the kindergarten, so
Scott and Kira could work, everything was near to their house and Zoe's favourite place
was the park. Every Saturday the three of them had a picnic together in the park to
spend family time.
Scott had been thinking about the idea for a long time, but after a few months,
he decided to do it, so on a Saturday noon, while they were preparing lunch, he made
the question. Zoe wanted to go to the games and that was the ideal moment to ask Kira
to marry him, she couldn't believe it, the answer was clear.
A week after the proposal they started to organize the wedding and the party,
both were very excited.
When they told their friends and family, it didn’t take more than 10 seconds, the
idea of celebrating in a bar and make them a party with their friends, but separately,
showed up.
Their friends organized everything, Scott’s party was on a Wednesday, Kira's on
a Thursday and the wedding on the following Saturday.
