The project aims to fortify connections between South Africa and the United States by promoting entrepreneurial initiatives designed to support recovery and growth post-COVID-19. Targeted at elementary school students, the programme emphasizes the importance of entrepreneurship as a tool to combat poverty and introduces green entrepreneurship opportunities within vulnerable communities. It fosters the creation of start-up ecosystems by pairing mentors with young entrepreneurs from previously disadvantaged backgrounds, providing them with essential skills to thrive.
The programme focuses on developing key entrepreneurial competencies, including teamwork, adaptability, problem-solving, cultural awareness, and effective communication. It aligns with ENVISION2023 goals by nurturing a people-centered culture, fostering creativity and innovation, and promoting sustainability through engaging curricula and state-of-the-art infrastructure. This initiative supports the development of adaptive graduates and strengthens global partnerships, contributing to societal impact and economic opportunities for youth.
