IZANDLA ZIYAGEZANA LEARNER SUPPORT
Izandla-Ziyagezana Learner Support project is designed to empower learners in rural areas by providing academic assistance, enhancing their understanding of scientific
reading and writing, and equipping them with basic computer skills.The project also encourages creativity and innovation in business ideas, aiming to prepare students to meet university entry requirements and develop entrepreneurial mindsets.This initiative aligns with DUT’s ENVISION2030 by fostering self- reliance, creativity, and innovation among the youth, contributing to the overall development of their communities.
IMPACT AND SUSTAINABILITY
Izandla-Ziyagezana project has a significant impact on the community by promoting youth self-employment, reducing poverty, and decreasing substance abuse. It aims to improve pass rates in local public schools and produce globally competitive, entrepreneurship-minded graduates.The project’s sustainability
is ensured through the involvement of qualified professionals and students who are passionate about giving back to their communities. Their diverse expertise in fundamental fields of study helps the project achieve its goals and create lasting change.
