Postgraduate Graduation
According to Figure 17, the graduation data for Master’s and doctoral students at the university for the period 2021–2023 shows that the number of Master’s graduates decreased by 16% (35 students) from 2022. There was also a significant decrease of 15% in the number of doctoral graduates, with a total of 83 in 2023. Among the doctoral graduates, male students constituted the majority, accounting for 62% of all graduates (an increase of 6% in comparison to 2022). In contrast, among the Master’s graduates, female students were in the majority, making up 53% of all graduates, a 12% decrease from 2022. In PG graduations, SET remained dominant, representing 46% of all Master’s graduates (a decrease of 9% in comparison to 2022), while Business/Commerce constituted 40% of all doctoral graduates (an increase of 15% in comparison to 2022). These figures highlight the growth in doctoral graduations and the gender distribution among PG students, with males being represented more in doctoral programmes and females in Master’s programmes. SET fields continue to have a significant presence in PG graduations (41%) at the university.
