The Centre has forged partnerships with the DUT Technology Transfer Department, eThekwini Municipality Business Support, DUT Food Technology Department, SCNET, Planet 54, Action Coach, New Seasonz, Biz Farm, KZN Oils, ATASA, and U&G Fabrics, as well as other Industry Clusters in order to collaborate in supporting and growing the SMMEs. Some of the interventions include:
1. Partnership with eThekwini Municipality Business Support for productivity training for all the SMMEs. The SMMEs participated in all the Durban Business exhibitions and were exposed to the wider local and international market.
2. The DUT Food Technology Department facilitated workshops from 7 April 2022 with the Agribusiness SMMEs to assist them with agri-processing operations. The programme included the HACCP certification process, storage of foods, packaging and branding.
3. KZN Oils as one of the largest industry players in KZN ranging from chemicals to food and health, trained SMMEs on KZN systems to become suppliers.
4. ATASA shared their experiences and knowledge with the Clothing and Textile Group.
5. U&G Fabrics afforded entrepreneurs an opportunity to open a bulk buying account with them as well as to learn more about textile and network with industry leaders.
