I used a torch or heat gun to fuse the brick surface and pulled off

the masking tape while the encaustic paint was still warm.

When the entire wall of brick was painted and cool, we masked off
the edges of the bricks, and I painted the grout with a small bristle

brush. This time I used a hot tool with a horn tip to fuse the
encaustic paint and emphasize the indentation between bricks.

Again, I worked in sections. But this time I let the encaustic paint

cool before pulling off the tape. This prevents the surface of the
bricks from being pulled off with the tape.

We let all the sections harden for a day or two before gluing on the

windows and door. And we let the wood glue dry for at least 24
hours before assembling all the sections together.
