DEVELOPMENT ELECTRONIC DRAWINGS
ISSUES FOR DIGITAL DISPLAY DEVICES

CONCEPT
We proposed electronic drawings for digital display devices.
Code blocks, title blocks, drafting blocks, note blocks, and heading sections of the existing drawings were
applied in the same way, and new generating method was proposed so that information can be exposed
without any limitations of the paper size and all information can be retrieved from the 3D information model.
Drawing Block with 3D model viewer
The drawing blocks of ordinary paper drawings are areas in which the orthographic drawings and detailed
drawings are arranged according to the purposes, which possesses the limitations of the paper size.
However, the drawing blocks of the electronic drawings introduced in the following video is equipped with a 3D
Model Viewer (ex, 3D PDF), which allows users to review it in the desired direction and scale without limitations
of paper size.
Application of 3D Parametric Dimension
3D parametric dimension objects were developed for each type of measurement (length, angle, slope, number
of places, etc.) so that direction, values, indicators, and leader lines can be changed by the shape variables of
the model. In addition, considering the direction of the orthographic projection and legibility, they are
positioned at a reasonable distance from the corresponding node.
Multi Pages Note Blocks by design information type
Design information was exposed by assigning one or more pages for each type of design data, such as general
information, design criteria, analysis results, and structural calculation for the facility. Clicking on that tab
switches pages for note blocks only.
