 Math League Math Team
W orking Hard
There was a lot of hard work involved in
Math League. Mr. Owens began drills in Sep
tember, and the State Meet took place in Feb
ruary. The league competed against area high
schools like Tully and MPFI. Each league mem
ber received a paper with six problems, and
the object was to solve them before the time
ran out.
The Math Team had a similar format geared
toward the junior high. Mr. Schnipp expected
team members to meet once a week to practice
drills. The Math Team competed in two tour
naments against twenty other schools, in which
their toughest opponent. Eagle Hill, took first.
The Team hopes to defeat them in their last
upcoming tournament. With all the work they've
put in, they'll definitely come through.
