Learning the aspects of business
wasn't always easy. Howard
Tang is satisfied with his un
derstanding of the concepts
taught in FBLA.
One of the goals members in
ECOS had was to make stu
dents environmentally con
scious. Brooke Ferenchak and
Christina Lampuri present their
fact-filled posters and await
Miss McGinty's approval.
Forensics
At the Podium
ong roads, early mornings, and lots of
rehearsing sum up very well the man
Lner in which the forensics team com
peted against several other schools at week
end forensics tournaments around the up
state New York area.
With their moderator Mr. Moretti and the
shrills of theatrical music on a very early
Saturday morning, not to mention the con
stant consumption of donuts, the team would
climb into the school van and begin a long
12-hour pilgrimage that would take them
to some unknown school, in a rural area
they had never heard of, and then back
again.
In most cases forensics meets were mad
ness from start to finish and the discovery
that one did not make final competition of
ten led to heartbreak and tears, only to be
comforted by fellow teammates. It was,
however, always fun trying.
