community and participate for Breast Cancer, Walkathons, Mental Health Awareness Month, Diabetes and Autism

      Awareness, etc.

Promote the Vote/Protect the Vote and let us take an active stance at the voting polls through volunteerism. We are

a strong organization that can assist our seasoned members in getting them to the polls and encourage our young
adults to vote and understand the political process. This November election is so important, and we need to be on

the front lines of political justice for our communities.

      NEW DEBORAH GRAND CHAPTER WEBSITE

In November, there will be a new Deborah Grand Chapter Website forthcoming, focusing on the membership,

upcoming activities, Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron information from their chapter, and calendar of events. We

will be requesting a head shot from all Worthy Matrons and Worthy Patrons from each chapter with your themes,

and colors. We will also keep you updated with the most current CDC Guidelines for East, Central and Western areas. We

look forward to communicating with all chapters on this site and keeping you informed.

      SOCIAL MEDIA

Stop, Look and Think! Does everything have to be posted? Does everything deserve to be posted? What are you

saying on social media? Remember, being an Eastern Star should feel like an honor and a privilege. Be careful on

what you say and display on social media and be responsible. ALWAYS, be respectful, ALWAYS be courteous. Cursing

and inappropriate pictures that may be viewed as harmful to others should not be posted. Defamatory statements,

disparaging language or hate speech targeting an individual’s race, color, religious creed, ancestry, age, gender sexual

orientation, gender identity or expression, is prohibited and any information that could reasonably compromise

      public safety is strongly prohibited.

      PRAYER, PRAISE, CHAPLIN’S CORNER

And it came to pass, that as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him,

Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. Luke 11, 1.

The organization that prays together stays together and will remain strong with God’s hand. Grand Chaplin, Agnes V.

Murphy, No. 9, will kick off in September our monthly Prayer and Praise Line of Love across the Commonwealth. This

teleconference call is established for prayer and praise for all those that wish to join. In November, a Chaplin’s

Corner will be part of the new Deborah Grand Chapter’s website. The Chaplin’s Corner will serve as information

services for the spirit and soul, offering but not limited to encouragement, scriptures, and your spiritual wellness.

A scripture that continues to inspire me is, We are one, we are strongest working together in unity. Teamwork is

the key to living life in harmony, so that we can do God’s will. We know that faith without works is dead. I stand
committed to continuing to work hard for Deborah Grand Chapter. Giving back to the membership, focusing on

community, and changing with the times. I stand humbled and encouraged by your love and support. We are all

      better together.

I, Rowinea R. Wooten, No. 45, the 52nd Grand Worthy Matron, and the FIRST Virtually Elected and Installed Grand

Worthy Matron for Deborah Grand Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, Inc., Prince Hall Adopted, Commonwealth of

Pennsylvania, remain grateful and ready to continue to serve.

      Fraternally Submitted,
