Good afternoon,
Would Past Worthy Matron, Agnes V. Murphy, No. 9, Grand Chaplin, lead us to the
throne of mercy.
Let us Pray.
Past Worthy Matron, Shena Devine-Way from Frances E. Edwards, No. 20, please sing
my song.
I cannot start this speech without first saying thank you to my Lord and Savior. Thank
you for your goodness and mercy you show me every single day. Dear God, I remain
humble and grateful for my gift of life and being able to be on the wakeup list every day
that you see fit. Thank you for loving me. I ask that as I take this journey, you will
continue to guide my mind and give me strength to endure it all.
Second, I thank you Mrs. Roxie Walker, my mother, my rock, my strength, and my ram
in the bush. You have molded me into the woman that I am today. I say thank you for
always being so gracious and for always being my closest and compassionate listening
ear. It is your faith and calming demeanor that sustains me in all that I do. I love you to
affinity. I appreciate you so much, especially every Sunday dinner you cooked and had
waiting for me HOT when getting off the road. I will always take care of you and I love
you. To my sisters, brother, nieces, and nephew thank you for putting up with me and
trying to understand my journey. To Laura and Victor Smith, thank you for your support
and unwavering love.
