least be on the side lines of sponsorship and aid. With regards to normalcy, we are now in an atypical situation with
different standards, activities, and actions. If we take the protective and precaution measures, we can assist those in
need in the community, with our efforts through volunteerism.
We know that you look to any new administration for new initiatives, resolutions, and encouragement. We ask that
you do not look back at the past but embrace the future of change. While there may be some resistance on the
horizon, we know that joy commeth in the morning with transformation and gratification. I pledge to you to do my
best and to always keep you informed.
We will be proposing a meeting with the Most Worshipful Grand Master, regarding the state of the temples and
others that meet in other meeting facilities. All chapters will be given a complete overview and update once we have
further direction. We will not risk the lives that God has given us. Therefore, for your safety and ours, there will be a
distribution of masks and gloves for the membership. Once we are to return to the temples, our First Aid and
Wellness Team will be assisting with the proper management of the distribution of these items.
MEMBERSHIP
We have concerns with low membership, and chapters not meeting. The loss of membership in the Subordinate
Chapter means loss of membership in the Grand Chapter. Therefore, we will be taking another look at all chapters in
various districts to arrive at the best resolution for the organization and the chapters. The Grand Worthy Patron and I
will be visiting these districts and chapters to review and discuss their immediate needs. Our goal is to strengthen the
districts and chapters while strengthening the organization. Our other goal is to maintain, sustain and enrich the
membership and not to lose valuable members.
RUTH MITCHELL TUCKER GIRL’S YOUTH GROUP
We ask that you invite your children, nieces, grandchildren, and family friends to join the Ruth Mitchel Tucker Girl’s
Youth Department. Girls between the ages of eight (8) and eighteen (18) interested with good moral character,
masonically adopted or not, shall be eligible to become a member. We must reinvest in our youth department with
training from our Mother Advisors and Grandfather Advisors to reach our young ladies. The goal is reach one, teach
one. A proposed meet and greet across the Commonwealth to reinvest in the Girls Youth Group and strengthen this
department will be forthcoming.
SOCIAL AWARENESS, CHARITIES, PROMOTE THE VOTE
As African Americans, sometimes we do not stop to smell the roses, because we are too stressed to recognize that
there are any roses to smell. In these trying times, we need to look at our mental state and trauma around us that
might have affected our lives. There is a stigma with Mental Health Illness and Awareness, components of
stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination. In these trying times we need to consider how we and our community
have been affected by the on-going changes of life’s day to day traumatic events. As we promote Unity is our
Strength, we will embrace charities across the Commonwealth.
In addition to fund raising projects from the Deborah Grand Chapter Charity Department, we will also participate
with the following other charity organizations:
The Lutheran Settlement House in Philadelphia – (EAST)
The DELTA Community in Harrisburg – (CENTRAL)
The Women’s Center and Shelter in Pittsburgh – (WEST)
Each one of these unique organizations is welcoming our assistance through volunteerism, food drives, donations of
toiletries and assisting children. Let us continue to build bridges of humanity and unity across the Commonwealth.
We must stay in the public’s vision doing our positive work. Let us wear our emblems/colors with pride in the
