Before the start of a holiday pursuit handicap race – Lake Erie 2022
Three boats from our fleet supported the North Coast Women’s Sailing
Association program. Chancer entered in the JAM division and was competitive
in a race series going against boats much larger than an Ensign. Blue Meanie
and MBSS Medalla were in the “Prep” division training new sailors and less
experienced sailors in the basics of racing. NCWSA provided another chance to
get people out sailing on Ensigns and to promote the fleet.

Ensign #3, Sea III, returned to the water and to competition. Bob Conkey
trailered the boat to the Region V Championship on Lake Canandaigua (Fleet
#23) only to encounter no wind. However, the boat’s flotation was tested in a
