Hope is a passion for the possible – Soren Kierkegaard

In this season of hope, I find myself with an abundance of hope. We have been through much, times we
never imagined yet there is hope and promise all around us. I encourage you to keep holding onto that
hope and to stay engaged in Sweet Adelines as best you can. We are all individuals, with our own level of
engagement – and whatever your level is, is just fine. No matter where you are on this journey though,
stay positive and hopeful, tomorrow is another day and it is filled with hope and promise.

The RMT has been visiting with chorus directors, team coordinators and other chorus groups. We thank
you for the time you have given us and most importantly for the insight into your chorus. The information
has been very helpful to us. We are listening and promise to take your thoughts and ideas and bring them
into our planning sessions. These visits will continue – we are here to serve you, so we need to know what
we can do to support you. Any member of Region 1 is welcome to reach out to any member of the RMT
with your thoughts, concerns and ideas.

It’s been great to see so many choruses posting on FaceBook with their activities and some fabulous
virtual chorus videos. It helps keep us connected and smiling. So great to see you all. If your chorus would
like assistance with any marketing or membership activities, please contact the RMT. We can help!

Please be sure to check out the upcoming activities sponsored by the Region – you can find them on our
web site, on our FaceBook page, in your email and right here in the Tags & Swipes. There are offerings
for everyone, from beginning barbershop to advanced arranging, membership and marketing training and
tips, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion discussions and so much more. There is so much to choose from so be
sure to look it all over and make your choices!

It takes a large group members to keep things running smoothly and we could use your help. If you are
interested in helping in a certain area, please contact the RMT; we would love to hear from you. There is a
task out there that is just right for you.

So lets take the lessons of 2020 and the hope and promise of 2021 and move forward with excitement and
energy; let yourself be filled with hope. Can’t wait to sing with YOU!
