From Our Incoming Regional Membership Coordinator

Hello Region One from your incoming Membership Coordinator!

I am so very honored to be the new Membership Coordinator for Region One beginning May 1, 2020.
Thank you one and all for your support. A big thank you goes out to my dear friend Anne Wilson who
also threw her hat into the ring. Your support means the world to me, too, Anne. And a special thank you
to our current Membership Coordinator, Deb Richard! Man, do I have some mighty big shoes to fill!!

Deb has been Region One’s Membership Coordinator for …… years! You’ll be happy to know, though,
that Deb isn’t going far. She may not wear the official hat, but she’ll be offering her wealth of knowledge
and insight to me as I navigate my way through this new position. Think of it as a “two-fer”! We’ve
already put our heads together working on plans for developing and maintaining membership and helping
to meet the needs of each and every chorus. Stay tuned.

Our current situation of “social distancing” is a definite challenge to us all. It’ll take lots of creative “out-
of-the-box” thinking on all of our parts to develop and implement plans for membership growth and
maintenance. I’m sure each chorus has already been utilizing some interesting and innovative resources to
keep up their members’ skills and chorus momentum. I urge you to share these unique approaches with
the rest of the region by posting on social media and the region’s website. Again, it’ll take all of us
working together to meet our members’ needs and to continue creating a welcoming atmosphere of joy
for those new members….. once we can re-open our rehearsal halls.

I look forward to meeting with each chorus. Hopefully that’ll be in person one day soon. Till then, please
