the center of each circle. Place the circles on top of each pie,

                crimping the edges to seal. Brush the tops with egg wash.

                9 Use the dough scraps to cut out 8 leaves with a 2-inch leaf-shaped

                cookie cutter or cookie stamp, rerolling the dough if necessary.


                10 Whisk the food coloring into your egg wash and dab it onto the
                leaves with a finger. Gently press the leaves onto the pie lids,

                making sure they are slightly off-center to avoid covering the hole in
                the lid.


                11 Place the partially filled muffin pan on the top rack in the oven and
                the full pan on the bottom rack. Bake 40 minutes, swapping the trays

                halfway through. Allow the pies to rest in the pans for 10 minutes

                before gently prying them from the pans with a butter knife. To avoid
                leaks, be careful not to pierce the pies with the knife.



                Serve to some dwarves at an unexpected party!
