from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, by L. Frank Baum

                                                  Makes 10 cups

“Well, in a few minutes I shall be all melted, and you will have the castle to yourself. I have
been wicked in my day, but I never thought a little girl like you would ever be able to melt
me and end my wicked deeds.”

This sweet-tart punch has a fun bit of kick. Easy to make and easier to drink, it’s just the
thing to fill your glass when you toast the destruction of the Wicked Witch of the West.

                INGREDIENTS
                 8 small kiwi fruit

1 cup lemon juice (squeezed from approximately 8 lemons)

                 8 cups ginger ale, chilled
                 1¼ cups sugar

                Special Tools
                 Wire-mesh strainer

                INSTRUCTIONS

1 Peel and slice kiwi fruit into disks, discarding skins. Place in a

blender and blend until liquified. Pour and press through a wire-mesh

                strainer into a bowl.

2 Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher and stir until sugar is

                dissolved.

Serve to celebrate the end of the Wicked Witch!
