maximize choice and minimize cost. Plans include innovative features, like maximum rollover and
preventive advantage, encouraging effective utilization and member engagement.
Guardian provides personalized service with one of the fastest claims turnaround times in the industry.
Over 6 million are insured; over 12 million dental claims were processed in 2013.
Backed by one of the Largest National Dental Networks
► Over 94,000 dentists at over 230,000 locations in the nationwide DentalGuard Preferred network
► The Guardian network yields savings to patients which average 30% less from what dentists
usually charge for their services
Dental Plan Options Customized to Employer Needs
Value Plans offer a perfect solution for employers seeking ways to control costs and encourage
network utilization in areas where PPO networks have strong adoption among dentists. Premium
savings can be as high as 20% or more making coverage more affordable and attractive to more
employees. In-network member costs are based on discounted rates. Out-of-network member costs
are based on the difference over network negotiated rates.
Network Access Plans give employers an option in markets where the network isn't strong, or in
situations where they are willing to pay more for freedom of choice. In-network member costs are
based on discounted rates. Out-of-network member costs are based on usual, customary, and
reasonable rates.
Give Employees More Control Over their Spending
► With Preventive Advantage, preventive services are not deducted from the annual maximum,
leaving more coverage for higher cost basic and major services
► With Maximum Rollover, employees can roll over a portion of unused annual maximum into MRA
up to $1,000
* If a member has a paid claim (not just a visit), and policy year claims do not exceed $500, an amount of $250
is put into a Max Rollover Account (MRA)
► MRA can be used in future years when a member has reached the plan’s annual maximum
► Reduce premiums, compared to a plan with a higher annual maximum
► Helps employers increase employee satisfaction and retain long-term employees
► Employees get more control over their spending and have more dollars when they need it
