For more general information about an area, as well as published histories, don’t overlook the Victoria
County Histories. This on-going project is published in many volumes, which can be viewed both in
        Record Offices and online.

Below is a list of useful websites for particular families being researched by family historians
worldwide. This will be added to and placed on the Links page of the website over time.

One website which could also prove useful to you is Cyndi’s List. This site has been around for
many years now, and still continues to grow. It is very easy to navigate as it is divided up into categries
alphabetically. Just click on M then Medieval and the following page is revealed.

Cyndi’s List is a website that Gen Mag Online will return to at a later date as it is one of the most
        useful websites around.

That said, websites are only listed if they are submitted or presumably found by the list holder. So,
when researching your family history it is worth stepping outside the box and think of things your
ancestor’s may have been involved in. For instance were they church bishops or held political
positions as MPs or High Sheriffs of Counties. There are websites listing holders of such positions.
Later articles in Gen Mag Online will cover them as they could add that extra dimension to your family
        history you hadn’t thought of.
