This patient presented with an amputation of the thumb and index finger. Following an
attempted replantation, it was decided to focus the reconstruction primarily on the thumb.
The metacarpophalangeal joint of the index finger was therefore transposed initially. Here is
the result after joint transposition and placement of a flap in the first web space.
