A proximal interphalangeal joint was harvested along with a bilobed skin paddle from the PIP
joint of the second toe extending toward the great toe. A bone graft harvested from the iliac
crest was used to replace the harvested interphalangeal joint and reconstruct the donor site.
Osteosynthesis at this site was performed using pin fixation.
