This number varies according to the paper quality being cut (virgin and recycled) and the process
parameters. Generally during my visit´s in the factories I talk with maintenance people to know
about the knife’s performance, checking some items:
- How many cuts are the orbital blades doing during their lifetime, 800,000; 1,200,000;
1,500,000 and so on?
- Are they cleaning the grinding wheels that sharpen the blades?
- The grinding wheels are with the correct sharpen angle and pressure against the blade?
- How often are the blades sharpened in the machine automatic cycle?

So, I'm always visiting clients, to keep the relationship close and to check if they have any doubts.

PACKING

Normally 10 in a wooden box with a protective cover on the cutting edge, both for protection of the
blade and your hands. Also notice the centre plug to prevent the blades from moving in shipping.
