INTRODUCTION:

An anvil is a metalworking tool consisting of a large block of metal (usually forged or cast
steel), with a flattened top surface, upon which another object is struck (or "worked"). ...
The great majority of modern anvils are made of cast or forged steel (the latter is
stronger) that has been heat treated.
Anvil - (also called the incus) a tiny bone that passes vibrations from the hammer to the
stirrup. cochlea - a spiral-shaped, fluid-filled inner ear structure; it is lined with cilia (tiny
hairs) that move when vibrated and cause a nerve impulse to form.
So even before we start we already have two different descriptions for an anvil from
Wikipedia. This training module however revolves around Anvils and the many different
applications where one would find an Anvil in our industry
