DRAW DOWN BARS AND PADS
Draw down Bars and Pads provide a simple but effective way of applying inks, paints,
lacquers, adhesives and other surface coatings to many different substrates including
papers, films, cardboards, foils, metal plates etc.
Two or more coatings can be applied side by side in a single operation making the system
ideal for comparing products.
Draw down pads are available in 2 sizes:
• Small 110 x 180 mm coating area
• Large 220 x 340 mm coating area
Draw down bars are available in 2 lengths:
• Small 130mm bar and 50mm handle
• Large 260mm bar and 80mm handle
The bars are wound with different thicknesses of wire – these apply different coating
weights.
The operator controls the speed and the pressure of the draw down process – therefore
these will be different between different operators.
