TYPICAL 4 INCH PROOFERS:
4 INCH proofers are hand held instruments with stainless steel frame (with or without a
spring-loaded base) an anilox roller and a rubber roller. These units are normally used to
proof flexo inks for corrugated, wide web flexo and for label printing.
Barkev supply three 4-inch variants:
• Local Stainless-steel frame (no spring), local rubber roller and imported chrome
anilox roller
• Imported Spring loaded frame, import rubber roller and imported chrome anilox
roller
• Imported Spring loaded frame, import rubber roller and imported chrome anilox
and doctor blade attachment
Spring-loaded base helps to improve the consistency of the pressure applied when making
a proof.
Pressure and speed of the draw down are influenced by the operator.
