Business Development Specialist

I have over 12 years’ experience working in the
Development Sector, with a specific focus on
developing Small Medium Enterprises. My
development experience includes work in
consulting, a development finance institution,
commercial banking, and training on development
planning to government and municipal staff
across South Africa. I have a very strong
understanding of BBBEE legislation, especially
Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD)
along with supporting developmental and small
business related legislation. I have experience
and achieved great results in designing and
implementing strategies aimed at addressing the
developmental needs of SME that are financial
and non-financial in nature. I am passionate
about Development finance, having completed my
MPhil and researched the influence of Financial
System Development on New Business
Formation in Developing Countries. This study
sought to further my research in 2015 on the
efficacy of SMME incubation as a strategy for
enterprise development in South Africa.
