               9.  AUDITOR-GENERAL’S REPORT: PREDETERMINED OBJECTIVES

               The Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA) currently performs certain audit procedures on the
               performance informa on to provide reasonable assurance in the form of an audit conclusion. The
               audit conclusion on the performance measured against predetermined objec ves is included in the
               report to management, with material findings being reported under the heading “Report” on the
               audit of the annual performance report.



               Refer to page 122 of the Report of the Auditor-General published as Part E: Financial Information.


                 10.   OVERVIEW OF THE WCPP’S PERFORMANCE

               The 2021/22 financial year was the second year of the WCPP’s Strategic Plan 2020/21–2024/25. In
               pursuit of its vision to be the leading regional parliament, rooted in Africa, and innova ve, relevant,
               forward-looking and in touch with all its people, the WCPP has set three strategic outcome-oriented
               goals and seven strategic objec ves, namely:

               10.1.  STRATEGIC OUTCOME-ORIENTED GOAL 1

               To provide effec ve procedural and related support to the House, its Members and its commi ees
               to make laws, conduct oversight and facilitate public involvement.

               This strategic outcome-oriented goal is linked to Programme 2: Parliamentary Support Services,
               Programme 3: Public Engagement and Programme 4: Members Support.

               10.1.1.  Strategic objec ve 3

               Enhanced professional and  mely procedural and related support.

               10.2.  STRATEGIC OUTCOME-ORIENTED GOAL 2

               To support the promo on of meaningful stakeholder and inter/intra-parliamentary rela ons.
               This strategic outcome-oriented goal is linked to Programme 3: Public Engagement.

               10.2.1.  Strategic objec ve 5

               Increased engagement with interna onal role players.


               10.2.2.  Strategic objec ve 6


               Improved rela onship building with stakeholders using  various pla orms, including technology.

               10.2.3.  Strategic objec ve 7

               To provide enhanced processes to facilitate meaningful public involvement in the legisla ve process.
