We are looking forward to beginning a new project this term. It is called ‘Reflecting God’s Image’
and is designed to identify some of the facets of God’s character and to recognise his desire for us
to reflect more of his character in the world in which we live. As teachers and parents I am sure we
are all committed to the character training of the children in an ongoing way, but this project
especially enables us to look at people in the past and present who particularly display good
character. We would ask you to work with us in encouraging the children to be open to God working
these traits into their lives.

Each child will have a picture of an altar in their office with each stone representing one of the nine
traits we will be focussing on. These are courage, loyalty, initiative, determination, compassion,
obedience, responsibility, humility and love. Each week we will cover one of these but the children
will also be working in groups to study two of them in greater depth during the course of the term. If
