Way to Work (Means)
1. Briefly outline the aim of the project to contrast two very important ancient
civilisations and their influence in the world today.
Show books or excerpts from a video/DVD of modern Greece. Show holiday
brochures and ask if any children have been to Greece. Show a Greek flag.
Talk about the long coastline and beautiful islands.
2. Explain that it has been a highly developed civilisation for nearly 4,000
years. Briefly share about the Greek Bronze Age.
3. Read the above verse from Acts and talk about Paul having been in Greece.
Other verses where Greece is mentioned – Acts 18:1, Acts 27:21, Revelation
1:9.
4. Create a mind map on the board to give notes on the following: -
Position: A peninsula in the Eastern Mediterranean. Hundreds of islands of
which 166 are inhabited. Crete is the largest.
