             1 Kings 19:9-13         Elijah hears the gentle whisper of God.

             John 1:14               ‘The Word became flesh and made his dwelling amongst us.’

             Romans 10:17            ‘Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the
                                     message is heard through the word of Christ.’

              God communicates with his people through speaking and through the Living Word coming to
               earth.

              Music can be used to worship God.

              Sounds are produced by vibrating objects.

              Sounds are heard when the vibrations reach our ears.

              It takes time for sound to travel.


              Vibrations from sound sources can travel through a variety of materials.

              Some materials are better at absorbing sounds than others.

              The pitch and loudness of sounds produced by some vibrating objects can be changed.

              We can reduce and increase sounds.

              The human ear has intricate parts, each with a function.
