electronic books
Education Matters today focuses on the topic titled ‘Don’t replace
textbooks with electronic books’. President Cyril Ramaphosa
announced that government will digitize the public school system
over the next six years by providing every learner in SA with digital
workbooks and textbooks on a tablet device. Steve Thobela, who
joined Novus Holdings earlier this year from heading up industry
body Printing SA, explains why digital textbooks should be used to
compliment printed textbooks instead of replacing them completely.
