The African Charter on Transformative Research Collaborations was integrated into Unisa’s research ethics policy and procedures, as well as relevant training.
The standard operating procedure (SOP) for Research Ethics Risk Assessment was translated into isiZulu, Sepedi and Tshivenda.
During 2024, RIO led training for 4 558 participants, including Unisa employees, postgraduate students and external stakeholders. Of these, 793 Unisa employees completed Level One and Level Two sessions, 32% above the 2024 target.
