ProfiBus-DP PROFILINK MODULE
Acrison’s new PROFILINK Module provides a reliable means for
interfacing a single Acrison MD-II-2000 Family Controller with a
ProfiBus-DP Network. This special 2-slot version of the Auxillary Data
Link Module takes advantage of the high speeds offered by ProfiBus-DP
Networks to provide a system that is capable of reading and writing set
points (registers) and commands (points) between any ProfiBus Master
and the appropriate Acrison controller. Acrison has designed the
PROFILINK so that commissioning and set-up are simplified. Switches,
located on the module, allow the user to select either customized or
hardware default configurations (see Default Configuration Tables).
The default settings (ROM based) map the parameters most requested
by users. For applications that require a custom configuration, Acrison
also offers an easy to use Configuration Wizard. The Configuration
Wizard quickly guides the user, step by step, through the process of
configuration. In this way, all 244 bytes of the ProfiBus message are
made available to the user, and can be configured as needed.

The PROFILINK Module meets all requirements as defined in the ProfiBus
standard EN 50 170, and carries Profibus Identification No. 7501.
