Erica Jones is a thirteen-year old award winning archer who has her eyes on the Olym- pics! She is shooting for the moon with no consideration for the stars.
Erica comes from a family of outdoor sports ethusiasts. Archery, bicycling, hunting, and swimming are just a few of the sports they enjoy as a family. She takes inspiration from the similarly-named Erika Jones, a female archer who won her first World Championship title when she was thirteen—the same age as Erica, our Oblock Jr. High School student.
During archery season, which takes place from October to April, Erica practices twice per week, and she takes every opportunity to practice during the off-season as well. She has taken part in many competitions and won several awards. Some of her accom- plishments include:
• 2019 Shooter of the Year Female Recurve Bowman Cub
• 1st Place Female Recurve Cub
• Won the Archery Olympic round
• 3rd Place Yellow Merit Class at the 2019
