What they do:
This is a zoo/wild animal sanctuary that rescues, houses, feeds, and cares for animals that
are injured, can't go back into the wild, or taken in from other facilities that are shutting
down. They also provide education programs both at the zoo and to local schools about the
animals they care for.

Why we love them:

They take is animals a care for them that can't care for themselves (like Shash the Black Bear
whose mom was killed when it was a cub, or Cassie the Tiger who was rescued from a private

owner who was feeding her cat food as a cub). They take great care of the animals and do the
best with what they can. Another animal is Jade the Mountain Lion who is now in her mid-
teens and has arthritis which due to their care she can be treated and live longer than she
would in the wild.
