18 months prior to the Games:
• Finalize qualifying information
o Dates
o Venue
o Number of Athletes
• Prepare announcements for trials or qualifying rounds
• Prepare expanded roster (update database with new athlete names)
• Request for required paper work from GNOC
12 months prior to the Games:
• Submit expanded roster to GNOC
• Begin posting announcement of trials or qualifying information on media (print, radio, social,
etc.)
• Post announcement in conspicuous places (Shopping Center, movie theatres, venue of trials or
qualifier, etc.) Announcements should be posted no later than one month prior to the start of
the trials or qualifier.
• Published Notifications of Open Tryouts (public notices – print, radio, tv, social media, etc.) must
be submitted to the GNOC and GNAC once it has been published.
• Athlete Tryout/Practice Schedules are due to the GNAC one week prior to scheduled dates
(GNAC Athletes Reps. must be present at all tryouts/practices).
• Athlete Tryout/Practice Sign-In Sheets are due to the GNAC one day after every tryout/practice.
11 months prior to the Games:
• Host a briefing for all eligible athletes. During the briefing the follow information should be
readily available:
1. Copy of Valid U.S. Passport
2. Proof of residency, if athlete was not born on Guam.
3. GNOC forms to be filled out by all athletes and team officials trying out for the team.

b. GNOC Handbook
c. GNOC Athlete/Team Official Nomination Form
d. GNOC Residency Guidelines
• Advise athletes of the following:
1. Residency requirements
2. Information on trials, qualifying event(s), etc.
3. Information on Games (dates, site, etc.)
4. WADA information
5. Cost associated with events and requirements therefrom
6. Uniforms
7. Practice Schedule
8. Court Clearance
9. Police Clearance
10. Medical Clearance
