Activity 22
What could go wrong?
In your groups, discuss and find solutions for each scenario
Scenario 1:
Group of 16 Educators, all share one language; 14 men, 2 women (predominantly activists
and pragmatists, three reflectors); materials and meeting rooms meet requirements, four
of the participants arrive half a day late because of flight details.
Scenario 2:
Group of 16 coaches; there are language issues. Several of the coaches’ language is
different from the Educator. The room has no air conditioning and everyone is hot in the
humidity. Half of the Educators have not been busy since their Educator course, with
little experience of giving courses and no NF plans. The power fails on day two.
Scenario 3:
23 in attendance, only one meeting room, and the participants are not up- to- date with
OSEP training structures and plans. It is a mixed race group and there are historical
sensitivities. Many of the group prefer didactic presentation; others want “implicit”
experience.
